the best one is the wrestler.
this is too out of focus to get it easily and the boxer is a bit too lame for me.
overall, not a bad campaign.

Fantastic olympic logo!

Tincho's picture 1105 pencils

Agree with andrej.

There´s too much blur to get it and the olympic logo could be ok, but the box that contain it inside is mixed with the backround. (and it´s too big too) ---> the logo (the olympic one) should have been positioned in the left side of the Amnesty one.

Ditto, Andrej & Tincho. (Agree with Alex4444 as well re logo)
Overkill on the Pistol & Boxing shots.
Great thinking, none the less.

America FUCK YEA!'s picture

this nothing short of propaganda.

tantrik_indian's picture 841 pencils

They are too predictable. And - like - what the heck, why should I care. There is nothing in the ad that tells us WHY we should protest against. What is in it for us? eh.

~~be cool eh!~~

~~this paranoid survived!~~

hummm.... maybe "the Chinese Government continues to detain and harass political activists, journalists, lawyers and human rights workers" ? it's stated in the copy. Please read the copy of the ads before you comment.

Hate to see political/religious works! Are they even aware of the word "Code of Conduct"? Don't make ethical judgment on a country that you've never been to!

very agree!

Why do "guests" are so often offending and using their keyboards instead of their brains?
There were in some ancient days a rule that had been saying: "Never read anonymous letters".
Think 'twas quite a good point of approach.

sorry, no offence.

Brilliant...

To be consciously stupid, when required, is an essential part of wisdom.

what really sucks is the line "CHINA is getting ready".
most people don't read the small copy and the less educated ones might think that china is a nation of brutal torturers.
ads like this create hate and prejudices.

shame on the creative team!

I would take out this one from the campaign. But the rest is o.k. Nice photos & nice art direction and I think it communicates the way the client wanted. It leaves in your mind exactly what the client wanted.

Some may call it a propaganda but it doesn't change anything on the facts. I think China is a democratic country as long as the government wants. The whole world knows there have been bad things done and I'm affraid it's not over yet. Dalailama and his Tibetians could speak for hours about that...

DesignFeedback's picture

"Dalailama and his Tibetians "? Dalailama used to be basically the "King" of Tibet.....what do you think will come out of his mouth?

elmikel's picture 1153 pencils

So you think China slaughtering Tibetian monks is o.k.?

Guest commenter's picture

have u actually seen chinese slaughtering tibetian by ur own eyes?
dont u know there is sumth called video editing?

Shanghai Knights's picture

Considering the fact that these Ads are actually trying to "help"... it's so funny that, when I sent these posters to my Chinese Colleagues in ShangHai, they were actually so pissed off about what the Ads is telling about their government.

Wordnerd's picture 5243 pencils

hm, hard stuff. but apart from moral issues and seen just as an idea it could have worked better as a spot though.. Runner walking to the start, getting ready, tension rises ... bam.

Guest commenter's picture

Why does Amnesty International creats hate and bias???? what did China do made you so hate this country???talk about human rights? USA is the country gives kids under age 18 Death penalty, but not China. USA is the country boom the wedding in Iraq but not China. why I have never see you guys boycott the olympic in USA???? such of bushitters can not face the thurth in your won country, and pick on others....who funded you guys?CIA???

Guest's picture

Don't misdirect the hate and bias. Fact: China leads the world in executions, continually abuses the rights of its citizens and rewrites history to erase the memory. Don't get mad at the ad. Get mad at the oppressive government of China.
