mrtalented's picture 2181 pencils

water is thirsty? worst line i've ever seen so far.

peak900's picture 206 pencils

"Our City is thirsty" would be IMHO the better line ...
I like the visual, too.

amsterdam73's picture 374 pencils

that's a better line fur sure.
With a subheading: Spare water, spare the planet (or something like that to explain the visual)

PS This ad has been done. read along ;-)

Alistair C.'s picture 692 pencils

great visual, it could work for a real estate/ development agency with a claim like "we can develop a flourishing city even in the desert".

it could also stand for water shortage awareness/ ecology project... but... what is this silly line? it's not even poetic.

kgeiger's picture 5158 pencils

Oh. That's been very done. Almost exactly done... With a better line...

edragal's picture 44 pencils

well seen. Too close to be a coincidence...

krautland's picture 2465 pencils

damn, you are right. these guys can't claim they didn't know about that, it's just too close.

cheza's picture 100 pencils

If no one can catch the coincidence, that'd be the day... Super obvious ._.;.

Busted!

wildbore's picture 602 pencils

nice visual.but something missing in d copy.

Davosk's picture 4439 pencils

They have used the same library photo as in the Greenpeace one from Greece, but here the execution is way better. Shame it's a direct rip-off.

Nice visual but the question is: what for?

Ariatán's picture 68 pencils

Debería darles verguenza, copiarse de esta manera...y que copy tan malo.

I rather think they are being honest about the fact that Greenpeace used the idea before.
So instead of hiding the fact by using a different image they just executed it far better.
Don't you think?

Great photoshop work!

vote4pedro's picture 275 pencils

if they were being honest, they would have listed the creatives who came up with the idea.

amsterdam73's picture 374 pencils

True. Better executed. But done.
Is a better execution of an idea thought of by two sweating creatives with less budget to make an 'Archive ad' a beter one? I don't think so. It's the idea that counts, not the execution (luckily most of the time).

back2b's picture 193 pencils

Yeah, I see your point.
But a good idea that suffers from bad execution doesn't excel either.

U guys dont get the copy cuz you can't think. True it is a copy of greenpeace (but way better).
Anyway the copy is great if you get the idea, which implies the heavy drought that was going on in the city at that moment. "Our water is thirsty" very easy to catch!!! It's an irony!!!
Great ad (tho I agree they should mention the original creators too)
