Nothing special...

Art direction is a long way off. This sort of stuff takes a long time to do well. If you can't, then keep it simple.

harsh comment. stefan sagmeister critiqued this ad and he actually said he liked it and we tweaked it a little according to his direction. but i guess everything is relative.

thanks for the comment. all art can always be worked on a little more.

but i got a thumbs up from sagmeister himself. he was here for an awards show and i showed them to him and he liked the typography. i even have it on film. he just made us change the little illustration on the bottom...to what it is now.

I must say I really like the copy... but I don't get what this should tell me about the magazine. Anyone?

The absence of paper can deter a man who would take a shit in his own trousers.

So schizophrenics read this magazine?

Clearly is a design magazine by the Sagmeister reference....I think it speaks to the type of magazine it is.

This is an interesting series. Interesting use of typography on tactile backgrounds and enough framing to offset the copy visually from anything that might be around it.

At the very least it makes me want to look at an issue of the magazine to see what all the oddness is about. Not bad at all.

you think? sagmeister helped us art direct this one.

Sagmeister liked this? Geez. That guy isn't in advertising anyway. He's in design. That's different.
