Indeed. I rather think they are boring but super strong and effective ;)

I liked it because I believe it will most likely help with the child obesity awareness campaine. But also believe that its not exactly the right approch for the awareness. I did not think it was funny because obesity is a serious matter.

Ugh! When are people going to wake up and understand weight diversity? Activity is good for everyone. Good nutrition is good for everyone. Focus on those things and forget about where your weight (or your child's) falls. I'm concerned that all this emphasis on weight and the "obesity epidemic" is creating a generation of people with eating disorders.

Guest's picture

agreed!

this ad campaign is pathetic

Guest's picture

Amen to ALL of that.

This is insulting. Not just to fat people, but to people's intelligence as a whole. The "obesity epidemic" is a manmade concept. If they hadn't lowered the standards by which they measure "obesity" in the first [expletive deleted] place, there wouldn't have been ANY [expletive deleted] so called "epidemic."

Guest's picture

Obviously people aren't as smart as you think. Have you been in an airport lately? An irritatingly large proportion of the population is so fat they don't even realize that they are infringing on the personal space of those of us that actually bother to keep ourselves in shape. It is an epidemic, and if you don't think it's a problem then you are a part of the problem.

Guest's picture

Can you even hear yourself talk? People who are fat have less of a right to take up space than you and other thin people do?? You're not even bothering to veil your hatred of those disgusting subhuman fatties, are you?

I'm not even going to get into the complete lack of fact in your assertion that people who are thin are thin because they "keep themselves in shape". God.

The folks on this string are clearly ignorant of the facts regarding obesity...it IS increasing in incidence and prevalence in the US, and childhood obesity is becoming a much more serious problem. How about starting with this report
http://www.surgeongeneral.gov/topics/obesity/
and then moving on to this one
http://www.cdc.gov/nccdphp/dnpa/obesity/trend/maps/
and come back and have an intelligent discussion on this.....
