I think these Germans know more about India than any Indian Do.

Oh those Germans...

Don`t say that please. I have nothing in common with these people except the nationality. This is simply insane in my opinion. And the worst part is - I think Ogilvy is gonna be soooo happy about this discussion being free award recommendation - as in "Oh and the campaign was discussed very hotly and in that way raised much awareness for the Indian problems". This makes me wanna vomit. Award-awareness at any cost - even that of a whole (our!) countries reputation. And that in the name of doing good. Show me a better definition of the word "Hypocrite".

I would be surprised if this site isn't bombed by spammers/hackers. You can't smear shit about a whole nation and expect thank yous, can you?

Dear Mr creative director of Ogilvy frankfurt,

Do you know what's the total area of indian sub continent? How many language we speaks?, How many different community it have?, How many people in total?
For sure an Indian will not do such kind of ads against any country. And such a fake action group? And they talks about solidarity? Ads of the world should not agree these kind of shits.

its refreshing to see for once the indians are complaining about something and not blaming pakistan for it :) hmmmm....

it's raining ignorant fucks here at the ads of the world!

I`m unable to express my disgust. People like that still roam my countries streets? This is a black hour for Germanys reputation as a world-open country. this "campaign" actually makes me think about moving to India. :-/

First off, you guest commenter's need to calm down and/or get a membership PLEASE. As for the ads they are extremely powerful. But as I read each comment from various pages people are saying that the statistics have inconsistencies to the TRUTH. If this is the case than the ads should NOT be posted on a global scale. For anyone who says these statistics are incorrect can you PLEASE back them up with a link..... if you can't back it up than don't get mad at the POWERFULL message the advertising agency is providing us.

Thank you

Imwrittenwith-c-and-ai's picture 80 pencils

What exactly IS the powerful message here!?!
Oh yeah I can almost hear the german paperboy shouting:

"News! News! Powerful truths finally discovered! German ad agency found it out: 1.15 billion people country is completely bad and insane! News about the Indians - they are childpoisoning pedophile rapists! Buy the paper and discover the awful truth!"

I mean COME ON!!!!!! This is RACIST!!!! At least in my opinion. And I am german too.

Paddycopy's picture 10 pencils

Hey all, My views on the same- for starters i am an Indian. How i see it is, take any 3rd world country, have a hazy idea about the culture and practices that may have existed there, run these same practices down, paint a gory picture for the rest of the world about the "atrocities" that happen there and name the ad solidarity or human rights!!! Grow up Germany, thank god u get to release these only in Germany. Got the guts, lets have a few on the holocaust and gas chambers, and call for global solidarity for the victims. Will agree with you then.

Imwrittenwith-c-and-ai's picture 80 pencils

I am german and I am absolutely of the same opinion as you. Been to your beautiful country for 14 weeks last year and this is a terrible way to start a discussion about these things. This is totally unacceptable. And I don`t know who will be helped by this. Except maybe the Indian thinking of all the germans as being racist arrogant PR*CKs. I feel deeply sorry for all my decent, transnationally thinking fellow germans. This is a hard blow for us. Never ever thought you could do so much wrong in the name of doing good.
