like the idea! execution is good, could've been better. good job!

A bit similar to: http://adsoftheworld.com/media/print/alka_seltzer_pork_0
Actually they're exactly the same, but BBDO completely destroys them in execution.

TheAdMad's picture 557 pencils

Yeah I thought the same...The execution on the Alka Seltzer ones is just terrific, but this is a good try also

Cover up the ear plug on the left with your finger and see how much quicker the ad gets. When visually referencing a speeding bullet, single bullet ALWAYS gets the message across faster than otherwise. Then, if you need to (or the client insists,) you could show a product shot with multiple ear plugs next to the logo.

So true. And why not use things that really make noise like a chainsaw...

Jet Propulsion Lab's picture 10602 pencils

Hey, speaking of speeding bullets. Did you ACTUALLY do it?
We never got a confession out of you before Jack "Sparky" Ruby snuffed you out. ; P

LeeHarvey's picture 1798 pencils

You mean the LATE Jack Ruby? Haha, lungdisease got him 'bout 40 yrs ago, the bastard! About JFK; I was a victim of a conspiracy, how can a single man shoot three bullets from two different angles!? Tell you what, we'll grab a beer some day and talk about the good ol' days.

I thought the same before reading your post.
Works much better with only one ear plug

Doing great work is hard, criticize others is way easier.

execution looks cheap. sorry, idea is just ok.

Tincho's picture 1105 pencils

Yes, it looks cheap. Maybe they should had added some waves behind the "bullets", like Matrix´s ones. The backround could had been black or dark grey too... for more drama in the visual.

like_duh's picture 88 pencils

yep. couldn't tell the left one was speeding. looked like it was bouncing off something.

cool to me...

Cheerrrring!!!
Quiet good thoughts inside, like it much :)

iT-iS-i's picture 1731 pencils

Tired of this shooting through stuff ads, the only reason why they have two earplugs in the visual is because they didn't want it to look too similar to the alka one. Cheap way of finding a way out and also cheap execution. What a shame...

Add insult to injury then burn the candle at both ends.
