Of course it's okay to be inspired by photography and art. But when I studied at the Miami Ad School lots of students copied these pictures and put a text under it. In the end there were so many, that it wasn't even worth putting it in a student portfolio.
I must admit that this campaign has a smart twist. But if you still make Jill Greenberg-clones as a professional creative I think it's something to be ashamed of.
Totally agree. First thing I thought when I saw the thumbnails was "Hey, a Jill Greenberg ripoff!"

I can imagine your point of view. Of all the Jill Greenberg-ripoffs I've seen this one is the best by far.
But the creatives missed an opportunity here. Instead of thinking: let's take this good idea and make the execution different, they decided to go for the safe option: making another ripoff. Execute it in a more original way, and it might be an award winner.

The exact same ad was done by students in an ad school call underground (BsAs). They did this in 2007!!
