LOVE THESE!! Awesome. Congratulations JWT, I really enjoyed watching so many Asian agencies winning at Cannes.

Think it for a while.
Then, in anytime, it will come to your mind as an idea.

Ad_Man's picture 816 pencils

Now i feel like a complete loser after reading the comments. You should really be ashamed. People like you makes advertising a shit.

SOMEONE DO SOMETHING!!!!!! take away this lion.

Think it for a while.
Then, in anytime, it will come to your mind as an idea.

Joy,

Tay Guan Hin has never won an award with a real campaign. He's the scam master of a city called Scam Central, aka Singapore.

People like Guan, and Tham Khai Meng from Ogilvy, are bringing the creative side of the business down. First class scammers/idea stealers who only know how to play the industry's political game to be on top of everyone, scamming their way up the career ladder.

Maybe the student got some cash out of it? Let's hope. It is an effective visual either way.

ooooops! Judges... what's up?

Davosk's picture 4439 pencils

This is theft! Shame JWT Singapore.

Guest's picture

not necessarily a copy. Perhaps a coincidence?
This is more subtle than the students ad any way.

joy.chakravorty took the idea from this campaign and put in a new line.

JWT Singapore took joy.chakravorty's line and change the visual.

Pretty damn good idea, whoever created it.

recuerden que las campañas son reutilizables, mientras tengan el mismo efecto en el público... no importa su antiguedad

Can't believe these copy ads are from two ECDs. So, who's credit should it belongs to? The student who come up with the ideas or the group that copy the ads?

Guest's picture

It's simple and clear,good job:)

Guest's picture

What the what! The creatives and ECD should be ashamed of themselves for stealing student ideas. And the Cannes judges should be more up-to-speed with work that has already previously been recognized at the same awards show. A new low in plagiarism.

Guest's picture

they shld take back the awards from JWT...

Guest's picture

I have a friend who have very interesting way of judgeing ads, he says : If i can frame it and put the ad in my room and live with it for some time, looking at it and does not disturb me, than MAYBE is a good ad.
I wouldnt put this one even in the toilet, or maybe both of them ..to all cannes judges F.... Y... !

Guest's picture

May i ask which category did Joy Chakravorty submitted to?

Curious party

Guest's picture

some one should write to cannes. It's a shame.

Emran Hayat's picture 771 pencils

Grow up u jackAss kids (joy & victor). u also copied it from "http://adsoftheworld.com/media/print/wwf_bear" so stop claming urself a winner _|_

Creativity is a natural extension of our enthusiasm

Guest's picture

Emran,
instead of shooting the messenger you should point your arrows at JWT. Those people are long enough in the industry to be the grown ups in all this.
Unless you prefer to suck up to assholes that only know how to do scam.

Guest's picture

sometimes it's coincidence, sometimes it's plagiarism. it happens in advertising and other industries - ALL THE TIME. grow up kids. it's the real world. there's more to life than Lions.

Guest's picture

I wish you were right. They should not be important, but my job and salary are linked to them very directly. It's a shame - and often a scam - but it is the nasty truth.

And yes, coincidences happen. But these ads are so very, very close as to arouse suspicion.

Guest's picture

Wow, all the claws are out.

Good work for Euro China for the original concept in 2007. Kids good work coming up with something - even though it was already done (you weren't supposed to know).

Now massive shame on JWT Singapore - disgusting, seriously. You couldn't even think of your own copy.

kant's picture 128 pencils

Conclusion: as usual, the scammers comes from asian agencias. And India. Shame on them, copycats!
