Ving travel agency: Underwater billboard for divers

Out in the Stockholm Archipelago, a half-tonne billboard was anchored to the seabed, five metres below the surface. The billboard carries a message to all divers that they can book a week in the divers' paradise of Hurghada in Egypt through the Ving travel agency.

It's smart, but unless this is a pretty bustling marina, it wouldn't be very effective. Sidebar here, but I was thinking of this idea of tatooing the inside of people's eyelids while they slept to push advertising into an even more intrusive medium. What does everyone think?

...with contact lenses!
Hit them every time they put them on and take them off, plus...
give them a subliminally, soft focus message all day long, and...
it would certainly grab their partner's attention .

>>>> That's not an ad. THIS is an ad.

Yes, let's clutter up our waters with advertising! That is the last frontier right?
Thumbs down.

Nice media placement. I remember an kind of similar ad on the floor of the public pool, can't remember if that was for dive travel as well.

The billboard was anchored nearby Björkviks Brygga which is one of Swedens most common diving areas. All the diving schools in the Stockholm area have classes there, so the placement was well thought through.

An example of when marketing goes too far. The kind of thing that might make some purposely avoid the advertiser.
