So Christians DO have a sense of humour.
No, actually, they don't; the billboard was vandalized with paint soon after it was (ahem) erected.

...It was vandalized by only one (or two) people, not the whole Christian faith.
it's interesting and funny.
if you were joseph, will you be happy at God taking a first bite after you had toiled to pay the bride price?
and then mary gives birth to this boy who wouldn't help you at your carpentry shop and goes about telling people that you are not his father and that his real father is in heaven, after you have raised him from childhood. honestly, i think it's not fair but you know it's biblical literature. they say the less sense it makes the more divine it is. I don't like anything that defines the boundaries of knowledge or imposes restrictions on our mental activities.

Is this funny ? Maybe in Australia & New Zealand.
Simple ideas are the best !
that's funny to me, so maybe in Argentina is funny too.
Congrats, made me laguh, a lot
This one makes me so very happy, not the least because it was vandalized only hours after it was put in place. I suppose that, since there's no commandment against damaging others' goods, some fine Christian soul someplace felt justified in committing his crime.

Hahaha.....i 'm sure there is a commandment against damaging other people's goods. remember in ancient times goods or property includes even peoples' wives.
Brave and a little sarcastic.. Love it. Poor Mary, she looks like it would last haha.
Funny, but unnecessary.
this would be a great t-shirt.......
Is this a real church? Did the prove give his blessing for this piece of advertising?
What hath God wrought
Yes it’s a real church. St Matthews in the City commissioned Saatchi to come up with this billboard before Christmas. They said “It's playing on those who think of [god as] being male and, impregnating Mary in a very literal way, whereas I (Archdeacon Glynn Cardy), and most of the people at St Matthews, don't have that belief at all."
I'm surprised then, that the Archdeacon and whoever else could give the OK for this, did so. Usually, religious clients don't like being poked fun at. In fact, the major religions of the world very much dislike being poked fun at. Which is a shame, because most people like, and can relate to, self-deprecating humour. My bet is that this will have a very positive effect for this church, or, would have had some hacks not vandalized it.
OMG! this is great! congrats!!!!!
Ha ha..... that's really funny.
Sarvagya
I've seen this in a paper.. I see the point of it being funny.. but yeah.. they DO have a reason to call it blasphemous.
Stop Mediocrity. Start Creativity.
There are two kinds of people in the world; people who like mustangs (cool people) and people who like camaros (idiots).
