I think I get it. During Ramadan, muslims are not alowed to eat until the sun sets... maybe this product encourages this? or maybe you're alowed to eat the product even during the day...something in that area...but it's just an opinion...clearly I'm missing the cultural insight to fully understand the ad

"U think it's perfect?! Press delete and start again!"

I think i get it: you have to walk a long way before you are allowed to eat.

My guess is that it's a reference to the if-tar, the "break-fast" (no pun intended) you take immediately after sunset.

Here, let me save everyone the trouble of asking. "Do you even work in advertising?"

In Ramdan, when you are fasting, you actually lose your energy. i think the stairs show the long and hard day that you stay without food and water, so one bowl of Quaker Oats is enough to keep your energy balanced. Besides, i could see a crescent on the edge of the bowl, which also symbolizes Ramadan. it's a good ad.

You guys are stupid.

During Ramada people fast. People go about their entire day without eating food. So they see the empty bowl and they relate to it - thinking mmmm, I could really use a bowl like that - only I wish it was filled with something delicious...oh! Quaker oats!

So it's a way to get people to "fill in the blank." And they can't help it cause they're hungry.

During the ramadan 'journey' -- as represented by the stairs, all you need is a bowl of Quaker O to get you going

I guess "One bowl for one fasting day" means that in ramazan people eat before sunrise so quaker oats would help them to not feel hungry the whole day. and the stairs shown in the bowl is the hard work people do the whole day even in ramazan without eating during the day... i guess i got it :P

Ok, it doesn't look like stairs to me. It looks like many bowls one inside the other.
I thought it translates to - one bowl is enough cuz it fills you up as if you'd had many bowls of it. I duno. That kinda made sense to me.

What I understand is -

The bowl is so bottomless that if you have one bowl of Quaker oats before fast, you'll have the energy to get through the fasting period.

What say? Don't know if such a confusing ad will work / did bring good results.

i dont really understand, a. stairs, b. crescent(if any) i feel its lighting, anyways what's that has to do with ONE BOWL FOR ONE FASTING DAY.... i dont c link between fasting and stairs, besides it could have been much better, using proper branding instead of is dull background, try using tint from the brand itself........

too hard to know what the hell it is?

Fasting starts about before sunrise and end on about sunset.
One bowl of quaker is enough to fill up your stomach during that half day fasting.

'1 bowl for one fasting day' is newsworthy already for those that do fasting.
So further twist on picture is not quite necessary.

Nice work.
Despite that the type doesn't do the job very well...

I am literally one of Quakers biggest consumer of oatmeal, I eat it 5 days a week! Oatmeal is about being FRESH, DELISHIOUS, WARM, and MIXING it up a bit. One of my favorites is adding fresh blueberries, a handful of walnuts, a squeeze of honey and a dash of cinnamon. (and some vanilla soy to cool it down in the summer) Now that's an appealing picture!

bowl, stairs, crescent, descent, ascent, oats, fasting, comments, nonsense.... the ad is supposed to send the consumer to the store, not the shrink's.

Great job.

The picture has conveyed a nice and clear message one, yet it might be more powerful to add some small text around the bowl, just to point some clues what this bowl trying to say about. Because as the consumer target for this product is above 40, they might not be smart & quick to digest the idea.

Just an "iseng" comment...:)

another thing, the bowl looks like a new design manufactured plastic product with inner pattern.
