Mercedes-Benz: GLK model billboard
Geländewagen
Geländewagen" is German for "Generic S.U.V." "Geländlewagen" obviously is a diminutive sweetheart of an S.U.V., coming from the small and cozy "Ländle", the region around Stuttgart, where Mercs are being built. This word hasn't been anywhere in the dictionary or on Google, as of today.

Me too.
Don't get it either, cultural issue, I guess. But if the headline is literally 'Generic S.U.V' then it's a nice humble way to boast :D
wat?
no.
like 10 people will get this.
Actually, this is a quite elegant self-humbling pun, pals. Too bad, only native speakers and fraeuleinwunder-loving blokes will really get it.
hard to understand in german, impossible international
Gotta admit, possibly not the best ad to present to an international audience. I'm not sure even folks from northern Germany woult get this one. For a native swabian like me, it's fairly neat.
This should be in the Ads of Germany. Wrong site for internal jokes.
Say my name, say my name...

Mies! Falsche Karre vor allem!!! Wenn schon dann G-Klasse...
Nach "Legendewagen" geht nichts mehr- Sorry!
Doch, Legendle.
;)
Die einzige Aussage ist,
dass der GLK leider kein ausgewachsener Geländewagen ist, sondern schon im leichtesten Gelände stecken bleibt !
Setzen, 6!
