I think this is actually a driving hazard as well as a rather large waste of money.

How is this anymore of a driving hazard in comparison to every other billboard? I think that this is only a hazard if your mind isn't comprehending the message they're trying to get across. I think a normal billboard with tons of copy to read in .5 seconds is much more of a risk than this.

100% agree with you. Those ads could be dangerous for any kind of drivers. I would not be surprised to see the governement amend a law concerning this problem.

When was the last time you heard of or read about a car accident happening because of a billboard? More often than not people are messing around on their phones, ipods or God knows what else. Some even have enough common sense to do their makeup or eat breakfast as their knees drive them to work. With all of the other distractions life has to offer a billboard is least likely to ever be a hazard. Maybe you just haven't been lucky enough to experience good creative such as this 1st hand. When I was a little girl one of my favorite things was the drive up my grandma's house. Because on the way were the South of the Border billboards, and they were Amazing! Each one was different and had a its own theme. Some featuring motion, others just large objects. There was even one that had a 64 mustang on it. I know my parents loved it because for at least 100 miles it keep my sister's and I from asking "are wet there yet?" Because it counts down the miles as you approached. To this day when I pass by something such as this I still get that same feeling of excitement as I did then.

this is just a waste of money, any good creative should be able to make a good ad with one canvas

A driving hazard.....?!?!?! First of all “desttE”, slow down before you hurt yourself. And "Hahalexander" - a waste of money? Really? Sure, blogs and forums are all for the sharing of perspective. But an uneducated rant or ill-informed statement is not a perspective. Create clever dialogue and shake things up, or go away. Should Nike's wall runner should have been executed in one billboard alone? No. Because then it would have been boring, so why bother? In advertising, we have the opportunity to execute ideas that embrace a moment – or many – that prompts the desired audience to feel enough to connect with the brand.

I have explained my argument better with the use of other examples in pictures in a blog post - http://bit.ly/kbvfI0. Come guys, seriously. This is a place to celebrate creativity.

every once and a while there will be the new accounts with only like 10 posts who only comment blazing saddles like on one campaign in particular....we can only assume by your zealous remarks its part of the creative team, giving themselves a bad name.

BTW, what the "H" is an explosion consultant ??

It is a wow factor though. Especially to drive past it. Maybe you're not from a podunk town such as Charleston. Maybe you get to experience bigger creative than this but when you live in a conservative bible belt filled with old farts who refuse to accept change a "wow" board is hard to come by. Because of people like desttE up there saying it's a driving hazard. Or that it makes our roadways look cluttered. Everyone is entitled to their own opinion, and I personally think it's brillant. It's a great change from all the crap that McDonalds usually puts up.
