It's not that these don't work.
I just miss their "funny intelligent," not their "funny ha ha."
Just my personal preference.

Second best HN campaign? I STRONGLY disagree...

it works really well, but i think it could be same as some time ago
a big black baloon from car for environmental warning.

Let's say they knew for it,
would you consider that as stealing the idea, recycling it?

This is more like a combination of the ideas behind the smog balloon (the intangible becomes tangible in the form of a giant balloon) and Trendy's cartoon (word bubble making a physical impact), but it's a unique application of the marriage of those two ideas. My only criticism is that the word bubbles are all empty; are fashion statements meant to be vapid? Otherwise great photography and art direction. ~8/10

I think the line "fashion statement" cheapens it. The idea would have been great without a line.

I agree.
But it still wouldn't have made it "great" as you put it, because there is no real "idea" here (as opposed to their more conceptual "calendar" and "cat fight" campaigns.)
But I agree with the first half of your comment...

I think if the 'bubble' was a bit more harsh (not a soft baloon...) so that impact is stronger the line would make more sense. like wally's campaign from 98 'dress to kill'.
but maybe it would still be better without a line.

Good work, but not their best (not sure about the line and the look of the bubble).
