The problem with this site is that they're are too many novices who comment on here without doing their research.
If you think this campaign art direction is original then you're obviously clueless about advertising! Like Cabral says, this is so 2002, possibly older!
Seriously novices, go out and buy or borrow all the D&AD, One Show books and study them like mad, as then, and only then will your advertising improve as well as you're comments!

I agree that it's been done, but it still looks fresh, especially if you consider that it's for a political campaign.

There is nothing original in this ad industry.
As long as the ad serves it purpose, it is a well done ad.
who cares if this style of ads was already done in 2002?

I think this is a nice piece.

Anyway
Do you actually believe the general public give a crap about any of ths stuffs we do in ad industry?
