Is education garbage because pedophile teachers molest children (and at a much higher rate than priests do)? And since when was the pope himself even accused of pedophilia? This whole campaign is infantile crap I'd expect to find doodled in a disturbed 9th grader's English notebook. I guess if disturbed 9th graders with no sense of decency and no capability of logical, rational thought is the target then it's right on.
No one had accused the pope of pedophilia, but the pope represents the catholic church itself and so the catholic priests, who HAVE being accused of pedophilia in hundreds of places and times around the world, more than teachers btw, so I think the representation it's well made. This campaing it's genious.
Teachers abuse children more than priests do .... 100 times more. Here's a study from the US Dept. of Education that proves it.
but priests are leaders who preach morals and values with religious implications....like "you're going to hell." Everyone needs to be held accountable...especially those who have enough power to hide each and every child molestation case.
With teachers, you can fire them and send them to jail. They don't have the pope backing them up.

Teachers do not belong to an organization that protects them from the law and hides them from justice. Teachers do not belong to an organization that just moves them around to rape more unsuspecting kids. Teachers do not belong to an organization that tries to dig up every excuse in the book to cover or excuse their actions. The issues here is not that priests or any individual rapes kids. The issue here is that an organization that claims moral authority protects those rapists.
Protection of paedophile priests is as bad or worse than the actual crime itself. There is a widespread view the pope has indeed engaged in such cover-ups.

Absolutely they should be held accountable. The problem with your point is that the Pope pictured in the ad wasn't even Pope when the scandal was going on and there's no evidence that the prior Pope was actively sheltering pedophile priests. There was at least one bishop accused of it I know that.

@mike. I think aiding and abbetting pedophillia - as ratzi did by covering up child molestation cases in his cardinal days - is a good enough reason to be called pedopope. And as far selling to people with no decency and incapable of rational thought: it hardly looks like the church is their target audience.

Not only is this whole campaign offensive to ANY person who believes in religion,
but the art looks like some 6th grader who just learned photoshop designed it.

This isn't an ad, by the way. Visit their site. It's a design which is being merchandised itself by eshe, stamped on everything from skateboards to cigarette lighters. So I question whether it belongs here.

I think freedom of speech is a right to be kept... and I think that for too long has the public opinion allowed the Church to influence millions of people with their non-sense "we are doing a greater good for mankind speech"...
