First those infamous blasphemous posters, now these (not to mention the name of the place). Though I'm an atheist, I think religion should stay out of advertising unless what's being advertised is directly related to it. That aside, looking at Jesus or Virgin Mary does not make me want to order a pizza. The first rating was 8. Maybe Ivan gave it.

The name of the place directly relates to religion: "Pizza Chapel". So I guess it qualifies this criteria. Btw, the same concept stands for any other taboo subjects too in my opinion. For example don't use sex unless it's related to the product. And I didn't vote.

The name has to do with religion indeed. But the place itself does not. It's all branding. Anyway. Given the fact that religion has been dying in New Zealand, this campaign may work. With regard to the rating, I thought it could be yours. Apologies.

True. It is part of branding.

This pizza is so holy ;p

Christians who are offended by this should get a grip on reality. I think it's funny and it matches the name quite well. Bravo.

Any "religious" campaign that can offend an atheist (sic), gets my vote.

Good for cynical atheists. For me, for example.

Imagine if it was a picture of Mohammad instead - how long before there'd be riots, fire bombings, flag burning etc?

I think is visuallly nice, not offending, not mocking, not even glorifying, just nice, and am not an atheist nor a great believer, just an admirer of the world (that sounded kinda mystical ;P) If what the place is offering is the holy place for pizza so what! when we are hungry we "bless" a good piece of food dont we? leave it alone :)

If the two Chapel pieces were judged like all other work here -- and they haven't been because the subject of religion seems to upset people's balance, reducing everybody to a cheerleader pro or con -- someone would already have said "first thought", "student idea" or "obvious". It's all three, in my opinion.

That's it.
