Canadian Hunter Whiskey: X Man’s Life, Buck

More Bang For The Buck

These are the first two ads in a series of the burly “Canadian Hunter” character defying death and kicking ass in the wild. The artwork was inspired by stag magazine covers from the 1950’s and 1960’s (Man’s Life, Man’s Action, True Adventure, and Stag magazine).

Advertising Agency: Cornett-IMS, Canada

I like the illustration, don't care for the slogan.

THERE'S NO HEAVIER BURDEN THAN A GREAT POTENTIAL

You have been an actual bottle, not a vectored orange-looking drink.

Good art but not the inside message. Peace for animals.

Just Only John: I think the "wolves" are his pet siberian huskies (shown on the bottle).

I agree that it doesn't exactly scream animal rights; but I'd like to think it was done tongue-in-cheek, playing with the idea of how whiskey makes you feel, in light of itself.

Or maybe that's the whiskey talking.
