Nicely achieved, guys. People who eat a lunch of nachos or hot dogs washed down with a Slurpee are not, repeat, are not going to find this gross. they'll laugh along with it.

Its nice artwork, and executed nicely.... but overall I agree that the food looks gross, and i find it hard to accept that its an intelligent strategy.

An agency prez once bottom-lined a particular client's reaction to the art department's efforts in this way: "He wants to see more belch."

If you can get your mind around the idea that, for some clients, belch is good, then you can see the virtue in making a similar order for round two unnecessary. Not for all tastes and sensibilities. But for what I take to be 7|11's target, I believe it's spot on.

Maybe. And that's a big maybe.

Personally, I think its a much more clever ad if they were selling indigestion relief, etc. Where the dreadful looking food was a part of the insight.
