My advice to other moms to be that become pregnant after a miscarriage is: do whatever you need to do in order to feel reassured. I went to my OB clinic for free fetal heart tone checks every single week from 11 weeks until I felt my daughter kicking regularly starting at about 18 1/2 weeks. Their is nothing as reassuring as hearing the heartbeat for peace of mind. Do what works for you. If you have questions, call your OB or those OB triage RNs at the clinic-that is what they are there for! Its a very sensitive time to be pregnant after a loss so do what you need to do in order to feel good & enjoy baby!
