Moment of Silence Inc: The Steve Jobs Moment of Silence

URL: http://stevejobsmomentofsilence.org

The Steve Jobs Moment of Silence is an 8 second silent audio file officially available on iTunes. The 8 seconds symbolise the 8 years Steve Jobs fought pancreatic cancer. This small break in our iTunes library will remind us to never forget the man who brought us the very device The Steve Jobs Moment of Silence will live on.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KjbmKd9Mw64

Similar but this one without a doubt is superior.
The fact that the audio file exists to live on Apple devices
that Steve Jobs invented–makes the whole idea worthy.
The Haiti idea could have been done for Japan or anything really.
This comes full-circle idea. Steve lives on in devices he created,
plus it supports cancer orgs. AMAZING! Long live Steve!
I just bought mine on iTunes!
10+++

Malcolm Gladwell wrote an article about Steve Jobs and said:
"Steve Jobs was not the 1st to invent what he did, but he was the 1st to do it best".
Same goes for this. Just a stunning idea.
And the fact that it's selling on iTunes is just fantastic. I'll buy it for sure.

This is the tightest concept I've seen in a long time.
Everything about this idea is significant to and relates to Steve Jobs.
8 seconds is the perfect length of time too.
And to connect the number 8 to the years he fought cancer is touching.
Steve lives on in everyone's playlist. How about that.
I'm lost for words now. Good on ya!

You know those rare moments when you see something you think is really great and say "I wish I did that"?

I WISH I DID THAT.

Uh, o.k.

Well guys i beg to differ.

This is so BAD.
The man was not vice G-d the last time I checked, and guess what -
you lost me when fighting for pancreatic cancer became secondary to wallowing over the man's memory.

With all due respect to the Steve (RIP), we have to focus on the living and not the dead.

He was too innovative for his own good - rejecting treatment that might have saved his life, in favor of useless "granola" solutions...

I would NOT want his memory to interrupting *my* music. Period.

For heaven's sake - GET A LIFE!

Steve Jobs is a legend. If he saw this idea, he'd love it.
That's all that matters. I will buy/donate to this for sure.

wow - so along with what I said above, they also copied the idea and are trying to convince people to donate money for literally nothing to iTunes.
Well, to pull out this one off you need:
1. to be shrewd
2. suckers for an audience. Congratulations.

p.s. - isn't it ironic that they commemorate one of the most innovative persons in the last few decades, by copying and cloning ...

I don't see the big deal in this quite frankly.

Much better if it were automated - and if you ask me it should damn well have been automated (the people who use Apple could spare 8 seconds of their lives to remember Jobs).

But if it's something you have to download, it feels so much weaker.

An element of surprise would've worked to this idea's benefit.
