I really like the design element and the aesthetic. However, this outdoor (poster?) does ABSOLUTELY nothing to actually HELP JAPAN. It gives me, the viewer, no information or resource with which to actually do good. How do I help Japan? What does this thing accomplish? It's just like all those millions of people who think clicking the "like" button on a Facebook charity's wall actually does something to help those in need.

I think its great, I'm sure with our hyper connected society people can figure out how to donate money and resources...this is just a reminder that while life goes on for the rest of the world to not forget Japan.

This is the third poster I've seen so far using the red "sun" its awesome that agencies are taking time to not let us forget about Japan when the News Cycle moves onto another main story.

Seriously, this is nothing more than a scam, using an on going tragedy to try impress the creative comunity. Sick. If you can't make creative ads for real clients you should work harder instead of using thousends of people's deaths to promote your name. Shame. There is no client, this links to NO numbers or contacts of places we can reach so we be able to do something to help. It's just a ''reminder''. A reminder of how low some people can get.

You make some very good points, its just the other side of the coin....I do agree this isn't front page stuff so the agency can't really self promote through tragedy....a more dignified way would be to release it and let the net take it viral if it sees fit

Bravi.

Exploiting a tragedy to get creative praise for your agency. Quite shameful indeed.

I'm really sorry that so many of you think that we are speculating on this great tragedy, so I want to stress that there was an error in the publication.

We did not do any press and outdoor campaign!

Unfortunately, there has been an explanation of this campaign, and even a link to which it is attached, which is as follows:

http://news.yahoo.com/s/yblog_newsroom/20110311/wl_yblog_newsroom/japa...

This is a campaign to create web links and contacts to charities to help the Japanese people.

We are asking for ads of the world to move the posters in a category more appropriate for our operation.

We just designed these two posters as they have done many creative agencies around the world not to forget this tragedy.
We know it's only a small thing, given the scale of the disaster, but I think that everyone in his small can do something.

It 'important for me to explain that we really wanted to do only good and I understand that the misunderstanding was born because there was no associated explanation.

I'm sorry for the misunderstanding that has been created and for my English!
Thank you for your attention.

The link to a Yahoo news page doesn't solve anything. Uploading your pointless designs for creative feedback does absolutely nothing to Help Japan. You want to do your small part? How about a donation from H-57 Creative Station? You obviously have the funds if you're paying employees for this nonsense.

Due to internet the world knows what's going on. We all know that Japan needs help. The use of the national flag for a radioactive sign is something for those typical boulevard newspapers. This communication is not working because it's more abusing the actual situation instead of transporting a message what still is done by the global media.

UPDATE: make a poster, sell it and donate the money for Japan. Then eventually your whole idea makes sense.

Could you provide the link to your "Facebook digital web campaign" that you mention in the updated description?

(I don't mean a link to the Yahoo news page.)

(H-57 Creative Station) is the real purpose of our operation: no prize, no creative competition, just do a little something concrete. Here it is: http://www.ninjamarketing.it/ninjas-for-japan/

For all the creative people who have designed something related to Japan: please send your works to: helpjapan@ninjamarketing.it
The proceeds will go entirely to the "Medici senza Frontiere" currently engaged to assist the civilian population of Japan.

Why is everyone so mad at this agency? There is a whole blog entry on this site with similar ads. Please direct your concerns to Ivan, the person who ultimately decides what gets posted here and what doesn't.
