Ilta-Sanomat: The Karaoke Video Banner

Finland’s biggest tabloid Ilta-Sanomat introduced legerandary pop hits FInnhits on CD that was sold together with the paper. Most of the songs where familiar to people from karaokebars. So we decided to promote the CD through a banner where you could make your own karaoke video and share it with your friends.

Banner ads tend to be boring. It's nice to see somebody try something different.

I don't understand a word.... but sure must be very intersting.

Simple ideas are the best !

I don't understand what this campaign is a about, it's not very well presented here. Do consumers just make up random songs?

I didn´t get it either, but I got the point from the picture above.

This is a nice twist on the custom-greeting style of marketing vehicle. I like the fact that it is a natural fit for what is being advertised.

Maybe you should read the presentation. It says they an choose wrong songs or maybe you don't know what karaoke is.

I think it´s an solid idea. The visuals look nice, but the flash could be better.
