Cancer Society of Finland: Quitter, A smoke-free social media experience

Quitter was a service directed to young people inside a popular Finnish social media called IRC Gallery. Quitter designed by hasan & partners Helsinki made it worthwhile not to smoke. In Quitter people answered questions about smoking. With each answer they received credits which could be used as real currency to buy real products in the Quitter Store. Finally instant gratification can be obtained by not smoking.

Sounds like a really good campaign. Other countries should start this too.

Teenagers. Like. Free. Stuff. The 'metrics' used here show only that they visit the site to collect their rewards. That the cancer society has spent loads on giving away free stuff. And that Finnish teenagers aren't stupid when it comes to spreading the word to their friends about some Grown Up Do-gooders' Site giving away Stuff For Free. Really not convinced about anything this shows at all, sorry.

Love that logo parody, though. I want a t-shirt of it. Er, as long as it's free, of course.

Well, it seems to have caught kids attention. That's already a good sign. It seems to be straight and plausible.
