I thought this advertisement was adorable and really captured my attention. It was a long story line that made me want to know how it ended. There was an overwhelming feeling towards the little boy and for the love of his penguin friend. This commercial takes place during Christmas time which always puts me in a warm and happy mood. I was not expecting the penguin to be a stuffed animal at the end and thought it was a fun twist. This commercial portrayed the penguin wanting to find love as they walked through the park together and noticing an old couple kissing. He also made it clear when they were both on the bus and looked at a couple in love. The little boy loved his penguin buddy so much that he surprised him with a girl penguin on Christmas and they were so happy. It shows the mom coming into the room and she is amazed at the generosity and is pleased with his Christmas gift choice. After the short video is over, the advertisement of John Lewis pops up in grey letters and underneath is says in store/online/mobile. I figured it was a gift shop of some sort so I looked it up. I was not familiar with this department type store because it is in the UK but it was interesting to learn about it from this commercial. Unless you are familiar with the stores in the UK, you wound not know what John Lewis was.
