it doesn`t work in that way - like shown in the middle picture - the types would be upside down

one should not take life so seriously - as one will not come out of it alive.

www.jackmancer.com's picture 1851 pencils

Yeah wouldn't the figures need to be mirrored to make a non-mirrored image?

Nice idea though, I wouldn't trash it but try out to make a pizza with numbers accross it ^^

sirvan's picture 10327 pencils

Fake. And pretty dumb, actually.

un78's picture 17 pencils

Guys ….this is a new years gift, with a very cool idea, nobody expects their clients to make a calendar bread and stick it on their wall !!! Comments about it being fake are completely lame and off topic here....anyway, the idea is great..

sirvan's picture 10327 pencils

Lame and off-topic? Really? Did you happen to notice that the letters and numbers on the rolling pin don't match the impressions on the dough?

Let me guess, you did this lame scam?

Without knowing the target audience, I lean towards agreeing with un78 here...
If I received one of these, I would "read" the rolling pin and just keep it on my desk... The chances of me actually using it are next to nil.
But I agree that the botched flipped photo doesn't help get the idea across in any way at all.

It's cool, but I think they flipped the images of the wood piece.

If this is real, it has a good chance of winning a metal.

I have to agree with sirvan here. It's not the fakeness or the fact that it's technically incorrect (you'd need the letters numbers to be inverted for the image to come out on the dough, blah, blah..).. but, what this gains in the "cute/neat" column, it loses in the "completely impractical as something that is actually supposed to be used" column. Say someone buys this for me. Great. Now I have to make dough, use this thing, and then.. what? Keep the piece of baked dough around for 365 days so I can enjoy the novelty of this great.. uh.. thing? I'll use this maybe once before it goes into the drawer of cooking utensils I continually neglect in favor of Starbucks.

Let's be real here guys. Impractical is great for ideas. Let's go skydiving without parachutes and see if we can fly. Great as an idea. In reality, not so sweet.

Oh, and one more thing to those of you who bake. Rolling pins are made to be rolled over dough NUMEROUS times .Which, in this case, would amount to about 3000 years worth of calendars mashed into the dough.

Again, let's be real. I see the concept. I like it. It needs revision.

Kateter's picture 1901 pencils

great idea gone totally lame cause of lack of thinking.

anyway, the team has couple of months to fix it and than it could win big.
the "exoticness" (I know, I know) of the country could play a major role as well.
