To raise awareness among home handymen of the importance of wearing hearing protection DDB New Zealand have created their own 'provocative' calendar to appeal to this male dominated audience.Itâs a parody on the thousands of male orientated calendars that already out there, yet at its heart it is a constant year long reminder for blokes to wear their ear-muffs.

And the effectiveness of the campaign rests on them finding it hilarious that muff also means vagina? Hmm. Might be a decent single-instance punvert, but I sincerely doubt it'll be suffered for 12 months.

It also relies on the target market being savvy enough to enjoy the joke.
I'm not sure of how many blue collar workers this is going to leave a lasting impression on.
It really requires someone that is self reflective in their approach to society and I'm not sure if this demographic is it. If it were such things designed at say advertisers I'd see it as a lot more effective.
For instance I could see that on my wall as fun piece that makes you think.
