I disagree. I would read what's written on the straw before putting it in my drink. I'm sure most people would. There's no surprise effect.
Other than that, it's a very good idea.

using suction technology, we replaced straws in restaurants, and just look at that woman's response!!!
this is absolutely ridiculous. and you know as well as i do they had probably 3 straws made. so desperate.....
