The iPhone Protective Case

Agency:
Published/Aired:
June 2011
Description:

The Leica V-Lux 20 is the ideal camera for on-the-got It’s user-friendly and especially handy – qualities it shares with the iPhone. In one respect though the Leica leaves the iPhone far behind; although the same size, it takes much better pictures. As a give-away for trade visitors, protective cases were produced that made iPhones look like a Leica V-Lux 20, They enabled people to experience immediately the handy size of the camera.

Why compare these 2 products at all. I think with the iphone 4 you can do much more that a lecia can't do. Its a phone people. Not a camera.

whoa I want one... hahaha... this is awesome, I think it's very effective... maybe I'm biased since I've always wanted a Leica camera...

and why do I need to put on the cover to experience the size of the camera? If I already have an iphone and the camera is the same size, then I have experienced the size...

it also doesn't make sense "comparing" an iphone with a camera, those are 2 completely different products, and ofcourse it takes better pictures than an iphone, an iphone should make phone calls and its camera is a bonus, why don't they compare their picture quality with a product in their own market?

not to mention that iphone is not the best example of "user friendly", it can be hard to navigate until you get used to it, "handy" is also the wrong term to use, handy is something you can use right away, so unless this camera is a point and shoot camera and can be attached as your keychain it is not handy, lightweight maybe.

i find it cheap how they use a popular phone to advertise a camera, any comparison phone vs digital camera is is irrelevant

I'm not sure if it's a good idea to compare a great product as the Leica is, with one that doesn't have the same quality...

I think it's funny and nice, but not sure if effective as consumer experience.
