HSBC: Eco-friendly e-bank statement
There is no way to print a bank statement without having to cut down a tree. Therefore it is more eco-friendly to choose an e-bank statement. Just get in to www.hsbc.com.co We want more stand up trees.

No I think you didn't understand what we meant. Noone didn't understand such a simple and straightforward thing.
The thing is this kind of printing on monthly statements is so popular nowadays. The way to convey the message is not new, and there's no creative elements at all.
I've seen envelopes like this a thousand times before - from banks, tel. cos, insurance cos, etc - with the same message!

I expect they will save $$ in printing and mailing costs, I'd be more impressed if they used it to plant trees instead.

i liked the idea more had they done something like, when they turn the tree portion flips automatically, in my opinion it would have been more impactfull
