CCCP Amsterdam launch a new digital project for the Dutch Nature Preservation Society (Natuurmonumenten): maakeenmeter.nl (Make a Metre). Natuurmonumenten wanted to stress the need for more natural open space in the Netherlands in order to prevent species from extinction. To raise awareness for this problem, CCCP developed the idea of user-generated ‘nature’: a square metre of for everyone. This results in the co-creation of ‘nature’, in an online environment. All these square metres put together will form “The World’s Largest Website”. Users create their own online square metre by choosing from six typical dutch natural environments. All metres are scaled 1:1, so with every metre made, another one is added to the surface of the website. This results in a never-ending digital ‘patchwork’ landscape, made up of forrest, dunes, water and fen. The site is like an oasis of peace and tranquility on the internet. You can stroll around for hours or just relax on your own stretch of nature as a break from the stressful lives we live.

This professional campaign titled 'Make a Metre' was published in United Kingdom in January, 2010. It was created for the brand: Natuurmonumenten, by ad agency: CCCP. This Digital medium campaign is related to the Fashion industry and contains 1 media asset. It was submitted about 14 years ago.
