WWF: Toilet roll

WWF: Toilet roll

No translation needed for this piece of work from China, but I guess it says something like save trees.

Very very little reach. Only a few women and that guy who's sitting on a public toilet seeing this. But i'm happy this is not a print ad. That would be a big waste of trees.

It might make me feel a little guilty, but what the hell else would I wipe my ass with?

In Asia, usually they use hands with the help of water to wipe their ass.

Sorry, but eeeeeeeeeeeeeewwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww... done.

"Wit beyond measure is man's greatest treasure..."

Actually, it is WAAAAYYY more hygenic than using toilet roll... provided you was you hands with SOAP afterwards, of course. But then, we're supposed to do that anyway, right?

???

<<>><<>>

I’d be more worried about the guy taking pictures in a toilet than saving a tree.

Okay next time I'll use my hands, but what if there's an anti-water-wastage ad as well?

Some people use 2 mtr to clean their ass and some use 30 cm...
I think all they ask is to minimize the usage of toilet paper.

why do you say very little reach? i do no agree. in limited usage lies the answer. thts wht the ad
is getting at.

Ramsri... it's not an ad it's an ambient media.

<<>><<>>Your telling me I need to use less toilet paper while at the same time I get twenty offers for credit cards a month, every month.. I think probably not.
Guess what... Money doesn’t grow on tree’s...but toilet paper does. If it has come down to running out of toilet paper I say plant and cut down more trees. They are easily replentished you know.. all one must do is plant the seed.

oops>>replenished

All this sarcasm running, that too for a 'good enough' social ambient campaign,
is a li'l distasteful n out of place. It says, 'minimize usage', and says it well.

You people are unbelieveable. Advertising is about building brands. You expect from every ad to sell you "the product". Right now and right there. In that toilet. Everyone should come out from the toilet and join Greenpeace... Every brand needs time. It is enough if you just see this one in the toilet. When you run to some other advertising with the same message, you will remember the one in the toilet. When you see TVC with the same message, you will think about it. When you read PR article with much more facts about this problem, you will discuss it with your friends. After 10 attacks on your attention, maybe you will join Greenpeace. It is a process. If you look at this ad that way, it is good.

The funniest thing about your comment is that this ad is for WWF.

Whatever, Mr. Unnecessary Reply Guy... Being too literal could be a problem.

I remember myself and wilkinson spent the first half of the 80's in China.
we set up a small advertising agency in Bangcock. It all proved extremely sucessful.
months passed and numerous great campaigns flowed like water through our doors. all award worthy.
then in september of 85. wilkinson got involved in a rather sticky situation with the natives.
needless to say allot of the worker's mouths were duely hushed with an extra few notes and a bag of rice at the end of their monthly pay.
lets just say. we both had a hand..or should I say "Fist" in the beginings of the Bangcock lady boy reputation.
I used to parade the city streets. everyone knew me as the tall white westerner in the white suit.

I was there too, grating cheese at the subway hotdog stand, except that it was really a tuk tuk with four wheels, and a side carriage to boot. We'd cruise on the vehicle with lamp oil and stare at the neon lights until our own creative bulb lit as we hit 120mph riding using pretty much a brick on the accelerator and our body weight to shift the steed.

Invariably, the ideas come when we bail out and the bugger hits a fashion retail window. One out of five times we will hit a shop name that's called Natcharaporn or Menokaporn, and the occassional MacDonald's.

Whatever we've earned from winning the pitch went to fixing those glass panels and the motor-tuktuk-hotdog stand that sells nachos.

Except that we're out of nachos.

ye i know it is ambient media. and i still feel this ad will work in its own way.

sorry to say but it's an example of just quenching your thirst of creativity.!!!

I’ve had second thoughts, maybe I would like to save a tree, and then hang some of the people who post comments from it.

lots of comments, so i think the objective is achieved....
excelent work.
