WWF: Paper Dispenser

WWF: Paper Dispenser
Average: 9 (116 votes)

To make people realize that saving the planet starts with them saving paper, we took a standard paper dispenser and made a simple modification with green foil and the silhouette of South America. This allowed us to prove that the survival of the forest is directly connected to what people consume.

Pretty cool. Too bad paper towels aren't green. Which means that would have to make special paper towels to put in that dispenser. which cuts down more trees. oops.

this is a 're-cycled' idea, n maybe thats th reason why its not having th same effect. bt otherwide...in 'non-advertising' terms, if i wud see it personally, m sure i'd love it. hence, somehow it still works!

funny how advertising sometimes leaves u with two opinions about stuff u see :)

it works and doesn't work at the same time. the concept makes sense. it just doesn't make sense for the wwf to install paper towel dispensers. you'd think they'd go with blow dryers if they wanted to save trees.

I don't understand this... to get the GREEN message across, you're actually using more paper than neccessary!!!???!!! And btw, most paper napkins and tissue are made from recycled paper nowadays.

still a great idea none the less. we have boring brown paper towels here in the states. adding a colored plastic filter over the hole world work too.

i think the overall tag works well. the idea is to 'save paper.' its a great ad to attack the problem at the source. come on, how many times have we or have seen someone else waste paper towels.?

why papers?how about illegal trash burning?inappropriate plastic littering? boring...
coloured tissue papers?
Again, overdose of chemical usage issues involved.

you people are truly thick, the idea has nothing to do with the colour of the paper it's the meaning behind it, it only stands to show how we're ruining our planet by taking away the green(see progress of picture) you must be americans

agree with brenni bear, the point is that the planet is ruined not the color of the paper...

"we took a standard paper dispenser and made a simple modification with green foil and the silhouette of South America." <- this is not just a howto, it's also logical proof that we are messing up the planet. see the "proved" it by doing this.
"This allowed us to prove that the survival of the forest is directly connected to what people consume."

wtf

But it only works with the last sheet of paper, previous sheets would leav another green sheet behind
