G-Force

Agency:
Published/Aired:
July 2011
Description:

With 188kW of power, the Volkswagen's Golf R is the fastest Volkswagen ever. To create hype around this awesome vehicle, we hired people to walk around busy public areas with prosthetic mouth pieces that mimicked the physical effects of G-Force. These eye-catching promoters wore branded t-shirts that supported our message and prompted people to test drive the new Golf R.

Ambient advertisment created by Ogilvy, South Africa for Volkswagen, within the category: Automotive.

I think it's funny and edgy. But it would be much better if you have a whole group of people wearing the same thing. That would definitely be very Improv Everywhere.

Love it! Just the text on the T-Shirt I think could be bigger. But I love the idea!

Dream needs to be big!

Really good, but I'm glad I don't have to see it in real life.

Yeah, that's the thing, isn't it? Pretty darn gross. Decent idea though.

I kinda like the idea, in some way. Execution fails IMO.
And people wearing this thing will look like freaks or look like someone with some sort of a disorder.

LOL @NikeDiesel
Agree to ace85le...lookwise it is gross but it hardly matters if it drives the idea to the TA

Only the first man did a good job because his eyebrows looks epic and his hair shape gave him a plus too. The idea was nice, but only the mouth will not work well. I think it needs a combination of expressions on the face, eyebrows, hair style (use gel to pull them all to the back) and of course the creative MOUTH piece to execute this idea more successfully.

I got nothing but a mind and a smile

people will look at the people's faces, and not read the shirt. the message won't be easily communicated
