It's a media idea, not a creative idea. If the bin was somehow turned into a place you'd eat, it might actually work.

You have a point there. This wouldn't work so well in India where our trash bins are way too messy. And who'd want to gag on smelly trash in order to read an advertisement? But that's a fine thought there. http://kettleandmug.blogspot.com

what's a media idea that isn't creative anyways...?? i think it deserves appreciation for both copy and art...

too depressing for homeless people if they ever open the trash bin to eat :(

The man who stops advertising to save money is like the man who stops the clock to save time

popdistortion's picture 1612 pencils

Good thought. That's a bit unsensitive isn't it?

swat's picture 354 pencils

but if they knew to read and write, would they be opening the bin for food?

jennywhx's picture 1144 pencils

the target audience is not them, is those who knew to read and write, and would opening the bin, and would donate the $ for them.

swat's picture 354 pencils

i realise that.
My response was to Tricky saying that it would be too depressing for homeless people looking for a meal in the trash bin to eat.

popdistortion's picture 1612 pencils

That may be the case in India but in western Europe most people can read and write, even the homeless.

drunkard's picture 115 pencils
