What irks me is that they never see how it can be offensive, and how offensive it can be!

This is really really offensive.

Ok, the message is very clear and it makes sense acording to the client, but I have to agree with the other posts; I personally find it offensive and, honestly, don't think that perpetuing that stereotype of beauty is the best thing to do.

There's no perpetuing streotypes here. Both in Ukraine and in Estonia 90% of girls under 40 are slim and sexy. I know you just can't believe it, but it's true.

So its correct to put a sign on a girl that says ugly next to another with a sign that says pretty?! Are you stupid?

What are you speaking about? both girls are pretty and shining. It seems that the idea of this advert to show that both are beautiful and that people have CHOICE. If they want to change something, they may do it using services of this beauty-clinic. I actually find that you - CUTIEPIE are relatively aggressive!

Do you seriously believe that "the idea of this advert to show that both are beautiful and that people have CHOICE"? Really? Come on, now.

This campaign takes sexism and superficiality to an extreme and is highly offensive. The idea is to show that "whatever bullshit product we're hawking will make you thin and hot just like the 'after' girl. So buy our bullshit product. You don't wanna be an undesirable fatty [read: normal, attractive woman] like the 'before' girl, do you?"

I thought this ridiculous misogyny in advertising died with the Mad Men era of the sixties, but I guess I'm wrong.

Agree. Too offensive. The idea is not new. Something similar made before.

Its only offensive if the fat chick got paid less. Otherwise, that girl is working it! *snap finger wave*

I don't see how is it offensive. Slimming is the service they offer. What's wrong with showing what they do? Seriously I don't understand what's offensive about it. Anybody care to explain?

This is a very basic idea,
but to say its ofensive??,, maaaan, from womens lib. to machism., minorities vs minorities, left vs right, blacks n whites...nobody can say anything anymore without the other side getting offended...GET OVER IT!!! There ARE fat people in the world, and some DO WANT to get thinner...DEAL WITH IT!!! and some companies can help...so if the other half feels ofended...well, GET OVER IT!!! live and let live

I am confused too. If you put it on a print ad (before - after, same girl twice), nobody would say this is offensive. Just lame. At least I would say that. But as a live "performance", I like it. Sorry. Only person who may feel offended is the bigger twin. But she is still there, no gun at her head & I bet she is not in a desperate need for money. And I bet she has no problem with men, she is not fat just a bit chubby - it's not about a miserable life they are joking about, just the intention to loose weight (which she -in real life- may not even have).

Horrible. It will put people off. The company will be seen in a bad light. I'm sure they think this is creative, but there is a line...and they stepped way over it. Bad taste.

This advertise was meant to be funny and some people think it´s humorous. Leaders of VIP Medicum hoped that this advertise opens a discussion and it did. So I think the Advertising Agency made a good work. I personally think it might be a little offensive, but it works and that is the main thing:)

it´s not offensive.
It`s just curious and confusing to see the "past" and the "future" interacting.
