Vegemite: Good to the last quarter

Vegemite: Good to the last quarter

A topical newspaper ad for Vegmite - Australia's famous toast spread. Four quarters of toast were placed in each corner of the sports supplement after the Australian Football League Grand Final. Always known for a close match, the headline read: Good to the last quarter.

Oooh. A pun. How clever. And modern. Aussie state-of-the-art.

Soft cricketers, shafted. Indian state-of-the-art. ;)

>>>> That's not an ad. THIS is an ad.

"Always known for a close match"??

The Grand Final was a thrashing (for all you non Australians, it was the biggest Grand Final margin in history) and complete rubbish from half time onwards...

I guess it was 4 good quarters if you're a Geelong supporter though.

As soft as soft can be - for all us Power supporters! :(

>>>> 07's not Port Power. 08 is Port Power.

I'm sorry, but I don't like this much at all.

Too many cooks in the kitchen....

I think I saw something similar in a 1970s awards annual... didn't like it then either.
