Has nothing to do with painting.
Instead, putting some actual paintings and applying headlines and class information on ‘em could’ve been cooler and way straight to the point.

I've seen this idea in my country...

"Nothing scarier than a blank sheet of paper" (Design Indaba 2003 - I think)

Which I have to say is a clearer expression of this idea...
