Thank you for your comment! Just one suggestion: Please don't use full caps. On the internet it is considered to be the equivalent of shouting in real world. It is also harder to read.

This is nice! Simple, straight forward but very interesting! Good Job DDB Peru!

the basic idea isn't new, remember the pickpocket hand etc.
but this one probably really makes you think about getting tested (although it would piss me off if i realised i had been running around all day with this aids sticker on my back)

it reminds me of this bloody stupid urban legend of HIV infected junkies running round in frequented areas to stick their used machines into people's backs with a note saying 'congrats, you just got infected'.

their used machines? what do you mean?

i like the idea. However, in EU I think it would be illegal to stick people without their request/agreement. Maybe it is even in Lima the same ;-)

Very nice. I think Peru should share this idea with DDB agencies in Africa.
I think it would be impactful.

by irate you meant irritate? Well it sure did with a small amount of the callers but the client didnt mind. People who called pissed by this guerrilla action, also asked when could they go to get tested. This kind of message is so relevant that the client didn't  care if people got mad about it.

Thanks for the comments.

If this campaign was in Peru, why are the sticker in English?

addyhoch10's picture

if you have a closer look at the picture you will see that it has only been translated on the upper left sticker, the other ones are in spanish.

i don't know why so many people are asking the same question again and again.
non english ads get translated into english so the juries and other people (e.g. us) understand it.
it would certainly bother me to look at the picture, then read the bottom translation to understand what the ad says and then look at the picture again. this kinda destroys every quick working idea.
that's all.

Nice one. Not exclusive, though... these guys did it on a pretty huge scale too: http://projects.psi.org/site/PageServer?pagename=kickme_learnmore

Yes, but this guys did it December 1 2006 . We did it late 2005 and continued through the year and Redess Jóvenes will continue using the HIV Sticker. We did it first here in lima and we are glad that the message is spreading and more people are aware of this virus.
Even at the end of the explanation you can read: This campaign will continue until 2006.
