Snickers: Sessions

Clemenger BBDO Melbourne has launched the initial phase of a new campaign for SNICKERS® designed to showcase how ‘you’re not you when you’re hungry’. The SNICKERS® SESSIONS will follow two Aussie acts - Miami Horror and Phrase - as they record and release a cover song completely different to their usual style, while raising money for youth charity Heaps Decent. The twist is that the public gets to choose which out-of-genre songs the two acts will cover. Should indie-electronic Miami Horror record ‘I’m Stranded’ by The Saints, ‘Out of Mind, Out of Sight’ by The Models or ‘Under the Milky Way’ by The Church? And should hip hop artist Phrase cover: ‘Horror Movie’ by Skyhooks, ‘Friday on My Mind’ by The Easybeats or ‘Reckless’ by Australian Crawl? For every vote SNICKERS® will donate $1 to Heaps Decent. The SNICKERS® SESSIONS is hoping to raise a $20,000 donation for Heaps Decent - a not-for-profit organisation committed to nurturing the creativity of disadvantaged and marginalised young people while supporting the development of emerging artists. The voting will be open until this Friday (22nd July) and you can vote every 24 hours. The SNICKERS® SESSIONS will then follow the acts into the recording studio and document their struggle to wrap their heads around a track that is the antithesis of their usual style. There are five days remaining for people to vote for the song they want each band to cover and help raise $20,000 for Heaps Decent. Once the tracks have been recorded, they will be

It could be fun... But then again, musicians often like to experiment with different styles and it's not the result of being hungry...
