Wasn't even an actual agency. Bravo.
I love this. Go,Japan!
Contrived and lame. Has nothing to do with basketball. Would make more sense if they had a local pole vaulting team.
Do you know how to play basketball?
que sera sera
Nice idea. Talking about basketball ad, i think this one is classic:
Jordan vs Jordan

Regarding: A.G. Pennypacker's comment:
What is contrived and lame about this? As a creative professional, you should give a little more constructive feedback. Instead of a cop out "lame". I think that the piece is a unique way to get people talking about the team, which is the true purpose of advertising in the first place. And, lets see... I would say that a basketball player holding a basketball has EVERYTHING to do with basketball. Perhaps your comment is contrived. I already know it is lame! And by the way, I am in no way associated with the agencies or clients involved in this particular ad. I am a designer in the midwestern United States, and I get tired of seeing thoughtless sophomoric comments on a professional ad forum!
Hahahaha... very well said. I just liked his suggestion of doing it for a local pole vaulting team! Pole vaulting? TEAMS? What is this a national sport in Japan? I laughed so hard I think I peed a little.
