ok i'm not familiar with this brand so i didn't get it's supposed to look like the packaging. i would walk on by without even taking notice of it.
nice idea if you know the brand!
Even though it says 'aluminium foil' on it?
Even if you don't know the brand, don't you know what that is?
www.aaasmith.blogspot.com
well i wouldn't even read what it says because i would take it for a common (visually not so appealing) shop sign.
agreed. they looked like shop signs to me. maybe an inkjet of the aluminium role on the box's side panel will help. and you should make that panel thicker to make it look like the real pack proportion.
Yeah, that would help it, I like it though.
7/10 from me

Yes, it's look like shop sign.
I wouldn't notice it if I were to walk right by it. But I would notice it from across the street and I would think its cool - but maybe cause I am familiar with the brand.
Love the idea, but sadly not many people liked their shop to be closed 24/7, It doesnt work when the shop is open.. even when its close, I assume that would be like late evening when the streets arent busy anymore..
Ha, well observed, I never thought of that, it would only work when shops were closed.
i retract my 7/10
it now gets 5/10

hehe! nice idea... but it gives the feeling that the aluminum foil is so hard to be folded... i wouldnt want to use it!!!

Good point, but would it really make you think that?
Not me.
it gets 5/10 from me.

nice ambient. you'd notice it in NYC, but not in the rest of NYC's IN YOUR FACE way. Nice, subtle, smart.
unfortunately, you've got about 3 hours until the first kid vandalizes it.
Wow thats true.
Once it was sprayed it would cease to work.
4/10 from me.

The idea is nice but no one will get it without that explanation you did put in there. To me it would be another shop sign only.
Ah and the photoshop there is not helping you at all. Like in the sign in the botton right, you just squeezed it to fit that small door, it don't have the same proportion as the others.
but since you have that explanation you might get an shortlist out of it.
Nope,
I got it without the explanation, so you're wrong buddy.
To me it looked like an unravelled roll of foil enough to get it, surely I would be the only one who'd see that.
Why do you assume nobody would notice it?
www.aaasmith.blogspot.com
like half of the people that posted here said it is too subtle. So im not the only one wrong here.
And you are seeing it from your desk knowing what this is about. Now i want to see you walking fast in manhattan to notice that.
Plus is all photoshoped in the gates.
Hmmm. You might b right.

It's only an ad.
www.aaasmith.blogspot.com
good idea but no one would notice, unless the gait is shinny metal.

I suppose you could spray the grills with silver car paint.
That might help.

bear trappers hat.
do you know what a knob jockey is?
Also known as a Sausage Jockey. Same as an Uphill Gardener.
Why? someone call you one?
www.aaasmith.blogspot.com
a very very subtle ambient
It's smart. Nice job.

I like it a lot - heavy duty alufoil, roller door, box dispensing roller door. Someone's been thinking.
Good but not too good for Saatchi & Saatchi NY
dude, saatchi NY's been pumping it out since Granger took over.
The photoshop job is hack, but the idea is quick and NY'ers would definitely get it. you people are seriously overthinking this.
I don't care if it is a hack or not, if new yorkers would understand it or not. I just don't think it is as good as Archive's, Crest's or Greenpeace' campaign. See ya,
I agree with you mikelite.
Too much thinking ruins it, you all got it straight away admit it.

Very nice.
No grafitti on the shutters?! Giuliani did a fantastic job eh?
a little bit more.......
Yes, my profile picture is my dog on my sister's bed, with a pillow and a blanket...
Tony Granger is freakin' amazing. Saatchi and Saatchi NY has been doing so much great work with him at the helm. What's really amazing is that all of their recent mind-blowing work is done by different creative teams. Which is very telling of what a phenomenal creative leader TG is. Bravo.
