This is an old idea done years ago in print, as an ambient though it's rather nice.

It would make me smile if I opened the door to see this, but if I didn't work in advertising I might just be annoyed.
Also, it may work best on doors that already have a dog door in them.
I like it. I think the point of placement on the door would be lost on me though, if you hadn't told me.
