Beautiful idea, but I have to agree; it looks fake. And if it were real, and these were just stickers over the hawsehole (hole what the anchor line goes through), they'd tear the first time the rope moved - and floating ships are always moving. The hawsehole is much larger than the mouth hole. Great idea, but how it's presented; impracticable.
i also think the placement in hamburg harbor is tied to the fact that mondo is a german pasta. considering german-manufactured pastas sold domestically have been rising slowly but steadily in the last decade, i think this is great placement.
i'm not european, but i have always associated pasta companies with italian names.
Es la misma pregunta que me hice yo. Pero la idea me gusta mucho. Es un buen trucho para ganar. A lo mejor seria bueno crear una feria de comidas mediterráneas y aprovechar la idea en algo más completo. Otra idea es invitar a los alumnos a visitar los barcos del puerto, pero todo esto no tiene sentido si es sólo para una idea que no tiene un concepto que te permite extender el selling de la marca.

I guess I should be applauding the agency for its innovative thinking and media choice.
But the trouble is, that's ALL I see. Being creative for creativity's sake. Not that there's anything wrong with it, especially for awards shows. And obviously it has spoken to judges at Clio this year.
But it just makes me wonder how the client did in terms of sales...

I live in a city where the harbor waterfront is downtown - and there are tons of shops and restaurant next to ships with people walking by.
