The only thing that strikes me is the EFFORT they probably had to put in for people to realize that yes, this is, in fact FREE parking. The Monopoly symbols have been used in advertisements by McDs for years, it's very easy to dismiss these signs as just another ad.

I think a fair amount of people would probably just go to park anyways and then have a nice surprise when they found out it was free
