Economically it's a great idea. Any time you can get someone to take the ad with them and show it to their friends is great. Yes, this idea cost a little more then a regular poster but it will generate ten times more attention.

The idea IS great, but conservation and great ads belong in the same conversation.

What about the environment? Didn't like it!
It'll definitely grab attention, so it's a great ad. Might draw bad attention from environmentalists, but other than that, it works.
