Religious groups take offense to Harry Potter too. You can't please everyone and this too good of an idea to throw out for such a mundane reason. If you recall, this news story went global within a day reaching tens of millions of people.
Yes, it's funny and it proves a very sad part of ourselves: Economic competition is the new world religion. Every idea is OK to sell a product and who cares about respect.

I've seen some really offensive stuff here on AOTW (I'm not religious btw), but this just isn't offensive. It's simply playing off a popular "phenomenon" of idiots "seeing" Jesus in everything from burnt toast to a spotty suntan. Yeah, it's a bit ballsy, but it plays off of the very "gimme a break" feeling of most people when they hear of YET another story like this. I like the fact that it's not taking itself seriously at all. Bravo.

Not sure if it works, it might have been nice to ask the people afterwards to take bites and find "jesus" and offer something to the kit-kat that most resembled jesus and then publish it... but then again that might offend people not sure... BUt a really creative idea nonetheless
