KitKat: Have a Breakism

Rijksmuseum Twenthe in the Netherlands is running the Abstract USA exhibition from September 2010 through February 2011. We’ve added one more work of art to the collection ourselves. A painting that has no meaning whatsoever. To give people a break from all the modern art with multiple layers and deeper meanings. It is what it is. A big red canvas.Have a Break, Have a KitKat.

This joke has something of a bad taste.

Couldn't be more ill-judged than this spectacular insult to visitors. Fine if it's outside the exhibition, as a commentary on abstract art, but inside? Can't see the Rijksmuseum being trusted by abstract artists much in the future. Hope the money was worth it.

Gerry, how's the museum inside Schiphol?

Only thing I use Schiphol for is an airport and a bar. Last thing I want associated with queues and waiting and annoyance is art.

ads in a museum? Did Nestlé paid the entrance?, because I would get mad to be harrased by ads inside a museum!!!
