Punked!

I like the idea, but I'm not sure that I'd have a very good sense of humour about it if I were one of those people.

The clapping. So belittling.

"How will I get home!", um take the bus? Frustratingly effective campaign.

irritating campaign. didn't like it. you can't teach people the advantage of car renting by the way of this type of joke...

I think the campaingn is fun, but id doesn't make you go and rent a car. Yea their web traffic has increased but what about the sales?

I'll echo axelldot's question: what were the results apart from a momentary blink in the media glare?

To axelldotcom and CuriousPencil, you guys know how to read?

"83% more subscriptions to Europcar Autoliberté program", at the end.

Very stressful idea, but it would be interesting to have more data about the before.

Guys, I think we should have ever the right sense of decency, tasteful. If I was one of that guy, I swear, I'll punch you strait on your face.
We cannot make people freak out just for adv or for a idea that on the paper seems cool.
And, rent a car do not reduce trafic jam, and I do not think "something could happen to my car, is better to rent one" with this joke 'cause is too exagerate, it's false.

The voice of reason. You are absolutely right 800A, there are limits to how far we should fuck with people's heads just to shift product; and this one did go too far. Who would've thought that advertising professionals would become desensitized to the feelings of normal humans?

Is it possible these people are actors? They seem a little too willing to stand around and use the phone rather than contact the police. And the clapping... Hmmm

I think it's a good ad. U decrease the traffic jam by renting a car 'cause u're doing it only for the real reasons and not to go buy a sandwich, go to the sport club, take a drink, etc etc...

But I can assure you that if I were one of those guys, I could have killed someone... (If I had believed that my red car had become a gray wrecked car!)

I'm sure the trapped people have been dommaged with a large amount of money then I'll not complain for them. ^^
