brilliant !! kudos to the newspaper for a ballsy move like that...most agencies prefer to overload their readers with as much news as possible. And in the process of staying in the race with competing agencies, they all end up doing the same thing!
Bravo !!

I guess lots of editors would've chickened out of that approach.

That's a shame. With Ecuador and Peru being neighbors, it's almost certain this was stolen.

I've seen the same idea made much more modest before. Anyway this was a memorable attitude of the newspaper, a courageous response, especially nowadays where no brand wants to take risks.

bueno si estos ejemplos se han coipado en tras partes por ejemplo en Bolivia hicieron lo mismo por una ley contra el racismo. Si lo que importa es crear conciencia y no un premio esta bien imitar lo bueno.

It might be the same execution as EL UNIVERSAL, but it's definitely not the same idea. This one is more powerful. EL UNIVERSAL were protesting freedom of speech against their government, more of a political defiance. El Bocón was adressing their readers and the phrase 'If violence continues football will dissapear' is extremely poignant in context.

Good to know. I'll have our newspaper client print blank pages in place of political news in protest of political partisanship and it'll be a completely different idea. Awesome.
